Lead markers are used to mark X-ray films in industries & healthcare facilities. Most lead markers come color-coded to denote right and left on X-ray or radiographic images to assist the radiographer or radiologic technologist on identifying the right and left side of the body.
Lead Identification Markers are available as sharp faced or flat faced, unmounted or mounted on 0.25mm thick rigid white PVC for easy handling.
Sharp faced are generally used for x-radiography and produce a well defined, clean image on the film. The flat face style has greater bulk for use with the more penetrating Gamma radiation. Sharp faced markers are measured on the front sharp face of the character, flat faced are measured on the back of the character and are therefore always smaller than sharp faced characters of the same nominal size.
All styles of lead markers are available in four standard sizes, unmounted markers in packets of and mounted in packets of 10.
